   Goal management. Opportunities evaluation.

Organizational problems concerning goals according to Covey:

1) No goals;

2) Too many goals;

3) Goals are changing too often;

Only 15% of the staff have some idea of company's goals.

19% of staff are indifferent to the goals.

49 % of the staff seek to fulfill secondary tasks and have no idea of what to do first.

What will you get when archieve the goal?

Is it really so important for you to archieve it?

Pick up 3 goals from the table - which are of the most importance for you:

MAIN GOALS

A goal (without acting is just a dream)

Which resourses are necessary?

Goal archievement plan.

What is to be done to archive the goal?

1.

2.

3.

So, with the use this simple table we distinguished three current personal goals (what we want), terms of their archievement (when we want to archieve them) and their cost (how much resourses we need) and now we have a preliminary algoritm (what to do)!

TO ARCHIEVE THE GOAL YOU JUST NEED TO ! ACT!

Movement without destination. Chaotic motion.

Gone with the wind.

"Only dead corpses flow down the stream"

Before marking a target, think, what exactly you want to reach?

SOLVING PROBLEMS (from http://www.marsexx.ru)

"Likewise goals, problems are divided into problems of survival and problems of development. The difference between them is that problems of survival come from outside and problems of development defined (and solved) by yourself.

Survival problems can emerge suddenly and usually they threaten the current situation and balance. Survival problem is a problem of balance and status quo recovery.

It refers to all cyclic problems. Food, accomodation, routine - all is aspect of survival problem.

Problems of development do not arise themselves. Their presence is realized when goals are set. Overcoming obstacles on the way to the goal is a problem of development.

Solving these problems, you develop and step forward. When solving the problems of survival, you go round in a circle. Correlation of both the problems lets understand what a man archieves and if he lives an honor life.

Modern routine problems of a man are usually problems of survival and problems which he creates himself. It is easier to suppress one dream than to realize the following ones. You just feign a problem and then it will be followed with an avalanche of problems - one worse than another.

When buying a car you solve the problem of movement, but acquire such problems as fuel, parking, storage, washing, maintenance...

Once stepping on the way of fighting with problems, you drown in them. For example, living in a city, one has to deal with lots of problems, finding oneself in an extremely disadvantageous situation. It is not however noticed, as everyone is blinded with the problems of survival.

Concern-finging lifestyle is really a rat race without moving forward."

EVALUATION OF OPPORTUNITIES

Who are you? What profession are you fit for?

What kinds of activity do you like?

What experience, education and resourses do you have at the moment?

What are you best at? Where did you archieve most success?

How do the others assess your ablities?
